ASSA ABLOY Hospitality recently supplied a complete package of radio frequency identification (RFID) contrôle d'accès, energy management and locking solutions to the luxurious Grand Hyatt San Francisco hotel.
An iconic 38-storey hotel located near Union Square in the downtown area of San Francisco, the Grand Hyatt hotel consists of 659 guestrooms, multiple restaurants, et 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The hotel went through a comprehensive renovation of all 659 guestrooms to embrace advanced technology as well as a more environment-friendly reputation. The management sought a secure locking system for all guestroom doors in addition to a new access management system and an energy management system to achieve their green credentials.
ASSA ABLOY Hospitality supplied their Orion energy management system and Signature RFID locks, both powered by the cutting-edge Visionline wireless online access management system.
Comprising of wireless digital thermostats, occupancy sensors, door position interfaces, remote server software and a comprehensive dashboard reporting interface, Orion automatically assumes control of ambient temperature when guestrooms are unoccupied, helping maintain an optimal temperature that’s neither too warm nor too cold. When the room is occupied, the system automatically resumes the preset temperature settings.
The Orion energy management system is based on the Visionline wireless communication platform that encompasses both the energy management and guestroom locking systems. Visionline integrates seamlessly with Elsafe’s Infinity II electronic safes, which are also in use at Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Signature RFID locks on the room doors represent the most visible piece of the hotel’s technological upgrade.
According to Matthew Kovac, director of sales and marketing for Grand Hyatt San Francisco, ASSA ABLOY has truly helped modernise their hotel, giving them a real competitive advantage with discerning, savvy travellers who desire the latest and greatest hotel experience. He notes that guests love and appreciate the fact their RFID keys can’t be demagnetised. He added that the Orion energy management system has also taken them a big step closer to becoming one of the greenest hotels in San Francisco.
