Vehicle Identification Border Control (VIBC)

Vehicle Importation Border Control solution provides government agencies with the transaction processing tools to improve control of registration of foreign vehicles moving into and out of a country. The registration process is performed at local border offices by issuing a registration form and using a desktop RFID device to encode the UHF RFID holographic, non-transferable windshield sticker. Each RFID windshield sticker contains relevant information, such as: Vehicle Identification (VIN, Make, Model, Year, Vehicle Type), Owner Information (Full Name, Passport or Resident Alien Number), Port of Entry, Registration and Expiry Dates, Number of Days Available, etc.
This information is used to control the length of stay of a foreign vehicle in country. The RFID tag serves as an effective authentication element and a portable data container, without the need of online communications infrastructure. It allows authorities to control, authenticate and operate the entries and exits of the foreign vehicle into the country in a very simple, automated operation.
